To contribute to recognizing violence as a structural dimension of fashion analysis, incorporating it into academic, business, political, and social debates. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

El prop\u00f3sito es promover un cambio de paradigma que permita comprender que las distintas formas de violencia asociadas a la moda \u2014laborales, econ\u00f3micas, sociales, culturales, raciales, patriarcales, ambientales, institucionales y simb\u00f3licas\u2014 no constituyen fen\u00f3menos aislados o excepcionales, sino componentes constitutivos de un modelo de producci\u00f3n, distribuci\u00f3n y consumo que ha permanecido, en gran medida, invisibilizado.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Based on this understanding, this project seeks to foster the consolidation of \"fashion violence\" as a new international field of research, reflection, and action. This entails promoting the development of theoretical frameworks, methodologies, indicators, case studies, documentary archives, and spaces for interdisciplinary dialogue that enable an understanding of the multiple ways in which violence permeates global fashion value chains and affects individuals, communities, territories, and ecosystems. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Likewise, it seeks to foster coordination among knowledge production, public policies, business practices, and civil society initiatives, contributing to the development of strategies aimed at preventing, raising awareness of, and transforming these forms of violence.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Ultimately, this project aims to shift the perception of violence from a peripheral or exceptional aspect of the fashion industry to a central element of its critical analysis. Just as sustainability has profoundly transformed the study and management of fashion in recent decades, the project proposes that acknowledging the violence inherent in fashion should reshape research questions, evaluation criteria, institutional policies, and the decisions of all stakeholders\u2014thereby fostering the creation of textile and apparel systems that are fairer, more responsible, and aligned with human dignity and the preservation of life.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
